Enjoy the view at these four natural oases in stunning Corona del Mar
Set high up above the cliffs of the Pacific, Corona del Mar lives up to its name. Meaning “Crown of the Sea,” this little piece of beach has a style all its own. Located within Newport Beach, CdM, as the locals call it, is home to quaint cottages and beautiful new homes, chic restaurants, and great bars, not to mention the views. Some of the most amazing scenery you’ll ever lay eyes on is located right here. Pretty much everywhere you go in Corona del Mar you’ll be treated with a spectacular view, but as is the case everywhere, some spots are just better than others. Whether you’re looking to enjoy watching the sun set over the ocean, or feel the cool salty breeze, here are the four most scenic spots in Corona del Mar.
Inspiration Point
If you are looking for a great place to watch the sunset, look no further than Inspiration Point. A short, easy walk will find you at this quiet little spot, the perfect place to relax and rest after a day in Newport Beach. Watch as the sun sets on one of the most beautiful places in California.
Big Corona del Mar Beach
Just off Ocean Boulevard beyond some of the best Corona del Mar real estate, you’ll get to a vantage point just above Big Corona. This is one of the most beautiful views in all of Southern California. From this point above the water, you can see stretches of both Big and Little Corona del Mar Beach, as well as Newport Harbor. On a clear day, you can even see all the way to Catalina Island!
Little Corona del Mar Beach
Little Corona offers some incredible views of the Pacific as well as Catalina Island. This small and secluded beach is flanked by reefs on either side, making it a great spot for diving. The reefs also block most of the ocean swell, making it a perfect beach for families with small children and those looking for a more relaxing day in the sun.
West Jetty View Park
Next to the Wedge, one of the most famous surf breaks in California, West Jetty also offers some incredible views. When the swell is right you can watch world-class surfers try and tackle the large waves, or catch the sun setting along the jetty over some beautiful yachts.
