The trendiest hotel in town teamed up with Veuve Clicquot and the 9th Annual Polo Classic to make the Lido House + Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic even posher.
On Saturday, October 6, Lido House teamed up with Veuve Clicquot for the ninth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Los Angeles at Will Rogers State Historic Park. With Veuve Clicquot celebrating its 200th anniversary, the ninth annual edition was a star-studded, over-the-top weekend spent pouring bubbly and cheering on the home team from the grandstand.
Polo fans and champagne sippers had three options for access to Veuve Clicquot champagne bars. Each offered Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, Rosé, Rich, and Rich Rosé joining celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Christina Hendricks, Molly Sims, Rachel Zoe, and Rebel Wilson. All enjoyed delicious food offerings from some of the city’s most popular food trucks, lawn games, and prime seating to cheer on a thrilling polo match led by world-renowned BlackWatch team player Nacho Figueras.
As if an exciting polo match and a day of picnicking and champagne-sipping weren’t enough, Lido House’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Experience offered the weekend of a lifetime for two lucky couples. The Newport Beach hotel, which opened this spring, pulled out all the stops for the two couples with a weekend of shopping, unwinding, and a whole lot of bubbly.
Here’s what’s included:
The weekend kicked off on Friday, as each couple settled into one of the property’s five three-story luxury cottages—all featuring unique coastal designs and large rooftop decks, perfect for popping the complimentary bottle of Veuve. After unpacking, guests went on a private shopping experience at the nearby Lido Marina Village then enjoyed dinner back at Lido House.
Saturday’s agenda included spa treatments inspired by Veuve Clicquot Rosé and a stylish trip to the Pacific Palisades in a chauffeured vintage car. Then it was off to the VIP Rose Garden at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, and a front-row seat to the ponies and players on the field. Flutes of Yellow Label, Rosé, and a gourmet lunch box provided by Wolfgang Puck were added to the afternoon.
The weekend came to a close with a Sunday brunch at the Mayor’s Table, Lido House’s flagship restaurant. There, executive chef-partner Riley Huddleston served up a specially-crafted menu, pairing sweet and savory courses with a final round of Champagne.
