Slated for Summer 2023, Pendry Hotels will transform the former Fashion Island Hotel into “a sophisticated, modern, and artistic luxury hotel for guests and locals, with an elevated dining, nightlife, wellness, and social scene, as well as a wholly original, one-of-a-kind community-focused social membership club. We look forward to creating a distinct destination within Newport Beach” said Michael Fuestman, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Pendry Hotels & Resorts.
This will be Pendry’s third hotel in Southern California. Their first property in San Deigo opened in 2015, following shortly after, a new property in West Hollywood. The new, Newport Beach property will offer 295 guestrooms, including 82 suites, offering floor to ceiling windows and private balconies with views up and down the coast. The property will house three unique bar, lounge, and restaurant experiences including a rooftop pool surrounded by cabanas.
Pendry will offer a membership-based program that will be instated. Membership will grant access to the Pendry’s amenities, as well as private events and bespoke experiences.
Along with Pendry Newport Beach, there are four other properties in development: Pendry La Quinta, Pendry Natirar, Pendry Washington D.C., and Pendry Tampa.
